Applications
GAS PHASE APPLICATION
AIR TREATMENT - Activated carbon is effective in removing volatile organic compounds which are a
common cause of odors.
CIGARETTE FILTERS - Activated carbon is effective in adsorbing and removing the gas phase
constituents from cigarette when the mainstream smoke is contacted with it.
DEODORIZATION- Activated charcoal is extremely effective at odor control.
GAS PURIFICATION - Filters with activated carbon are usually used in compressed air and gas
purification to remove oil vapors, odors, and other hydrocarbons from the air.
CABIN FILTER - Filters with activated carbon are used to reduce organic compounds in the
cabin of automobiles.
FRUIT & FLOWER PRESERVATION - The activated carbon aims to control odors that causes
fruits and vegetables to ripen and decay, and flowers to wilt.
LIQUID PHASE APPLICATION
WATER PURIFICATION - Activated carbon filtration can effectively reduce certain organic compounds
and chlorine in drinking water. It can also reduce the quantity of lead, dissolved
radon, and harmless taste- and odor-causing compounds.
DECHLORINIZATION - One of the many adsorption properties of activated carbon is its high capacity
to reduce chlorine
MUNICIPAL / INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT - Activated carbon is used in water
treatment to reduce impurities in water used for industries.
GOLD RECOVERY - The activated carbon adsorbs the dissolved gold from the leach slurry
thereby concentrating it onto a smaller mass of solids. The carbon is then
separated from the slurry by screening and subjected to further treatment
to recover the adsorbed gold.
COOKING OIL FILTRATION - Activated carbon is used for decolorization and deodorization of
cooking oil.
CHEMICAL REFINING - The activated carbon is used to reduce impurities such as color
contents or small volume of by-products in the solutions in pharmaceutical, oleo
chemicals and other chemical industries.
SOLID PHASE APPLICATION
SOIL CONDITIONER - Activated carbon is added on the agricultural and industrial soil as soil conditioner.
